The theme for August's MakeShift was Heat, just in time for summer weather to finally arrive in Milwaukee.

John built an interactive propane cannon inspired by one from William Gurstelle's excellent Practical Pyromaniac .

Bill gave a demo in Raku Ceramic process...I was hoping he said raccoon.

There was a D.I.Y. yakitori grill inspired by Make issue 30.  With a host of grill-ables.

And a great deal more, including welding lessons from members of Milwaukee Makerspace, home made hot sauces by Michael Krueger, and scorching beats provided by our go-to DJ, Josh Arter. For more info, head over to the Facebook page.

MakeShift will be taking a break in September for Maker Faire Milwaukee. see you in October!
